Comments about Katie's Pet Depot
We are really pleased about our relationship with Katie's Pet Depot, La Verne, Ca.  The management has been very cooperative with embracing our business model, resulting in a 4-way win for all concerned:  Pet Store, Rescue, Community, and - above all - the rescued orphans.

The fact that potential adopters can see our orphans seven days a week, 12 hours a day is an enormous help.  Our dogs get walked periodically throughout the day, have lunch with store personnel, and are socialized by interacting with families and other interested parties of all ages. While not exactly a "home like" environment, the stimulation, attention and affection our orphans receive help to further decompress them from the shelter trauma.  It helps better prepare them for the next and final step of uniting with their "fur-ever" families.

The store's team has been instrumental in becoming familiar with the "story" behind each orphan, his/her quirks, special talents, and "pet peeves". Being able to provide a "total picture" to potential adopters becomes an extension of our rescue work, and helps us re-route our resources to other orphans.  By becoming an integral part of the ‘path to life’, Katie's Pet Depot "gets the word out" to those looking to adopt, and to other stores looking to emulate our business model.
